Police Costumes

Police costumes for bedroom roleplay: navy bodysuits, short uniform dresses, wet-look sets and the hat, badge, cuffs and aviators that finish the look. Choose by bust and waist measurement, then by what the set includes. A good police costume holds its shape and looks convincing up close. Everything ships in plain packaging with no indication of the contents or the sender.

Police buying guide

This page lists every police costume in our roleplay range. If you already know what you want, the products above are the whole range. If you are still choosing, the sections below cover what separates one set from another, written from the questions customers ask us most rather than a manufacturer brochure.

Sizing and fit

Measure your bust, natural waist and hips and check all three against the chart on the product. Costume sets run smaller than everyday clothing, so if you are between sizes, go up. One-size pieces usually fit about a US 4 to 10 and stretch less than the description suggests; queen and plus ranges are cut properly rather than scaled and are worth choosing over stretching a one-size set.

Read what is included before you order. A set may be a single dress or a full kit with hat, collar, gloves and props; the description lists every piece, and the photo sometimes shows styling that is not in the box.

Materials and what they demand

Stretch polyester and spandex hold a crisp uniform line and forgive a size either way. Wet-look and vinyl add shine but do not breathe, so they suit a scene rather than a whole evening. Sheer mesh sets look daring and snag easily on jewelry.

Look at the hardware. Metal-look badges, buckles and cuffs photograph better and last longer than thin plastic; toy handcuffs in costume sets are props, not restraints.

Care that preserves it

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and dry flat, away from direct heat. Wipe wet-look and vinyl pieces with a damp cloth instead of washing them. Keep hats, collars and badges out of the water and store the set together in a bag so nothing goes missing between uses.

Frequently asked questions about police costumes

Are the handcuffs in costume sets real restraints? No. Costume cuffs are props. For real restraints, look at the cuffs in our bondage range.

What usually comes in a police costume set? Most include the dress or bodysuit and a hat. Some add a badge, belt, cuffs or glasses. The description lists every piece.

Can I wear it out to a party? Yes. Many styles are made to be worn out, and adult costume parties are what most customers buy them for.

Will a one-size set fit me? One-size police sets usually fit about a US 4 to 10. Check the measurements on the product before you order.

Common mistakes when buying police costumes

Treating costume cuffs as real restraints. They are not built to take load and can pinch.

Ordering the usual dress size without checking the chart. Costume sizing runs small.
